What are colonics

Colon Therapy

What is a colonic?

Colon therapy is a safe, gentle procedure of washing the large intestine with pure filtered water. As the water hydrates it begins to loosen and remove excess fecal matter that may be causing congestion in the colon.

To help relax the body and assist with the process of elimination, I apply castor oil pack, heat and abdominal touch during the session.

Why Colonics?

The colon may become congested for many reasons such as stress, illness, poor muscle tone, chronic constipation, medication, or dietary habits. When there is excess fecal matter in the colon, it may be released throughout the body via the blood and lymph systems. Colonics help to clear congestion, strengthens the colon so it may function more efficiently and effectively. Consistently, people experience a sense of wellness and vigor.

  • Helps with chronic and occasional constipation

  • Looses and eliminates waste matter in the colon

  • Strengthens the colon as it supports regular elimination

My approach to colonics is gentle, always gentle. As I create a warm environment clients feel safe, warm, and relaxed.

This is very individual. Everyone is different. It is important that we look at what you need and want.

Do I need to prepare for the treatment?

Hydration for the days preceding sessions is very important. Stay away from foods that you know are harder to digest or create more gas in your system. On your treatment day, stop eating two hours before and stop drinking any liquids one hour before.
